“Great investing is not about predicting every move—it is about making disciplined decisions when opportunity and risk are mispriced.”

— Luis F. Romero, Founder & CIO

Background

Luis began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse in New York, where he worked on complex corporate transactions and developed a strong foundation in valuation, financial modeling, capital structure, and strategic finance.

He later joined Seven Points Capital as a proprietary trader and analyst, where he further developed his expertise in market analysis, portfolio construction, risk management, and disciplined investment decision-making.

In addition to his experience in financial markets, Luis has founded and advised multiple businesses across healthcare, education, and financial services. His background as both an investor and business owner provides practical insight into the financial decisions entrepreneurs face throughout the business lifecycle—from growth and capital allocation to succession and long-term wealth planning.

Luis earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Investments, with a minor in Philosophy, from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business, part of the City University of New York.

His investment philosophy is centered on disciplined capital allocation, long-term thinking, prudent risk management, and acting in the best interests of clients through a fiduciary approach.

Values

The things we will not compromise.

Alignment

Our recommendations are built around your goals, your timeline, and your definition of success — not ours.

Integrity

We do what we say. Every recommendation, every trade, and every conversation is grounded in honesty and transparency.

Professionalism

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of conduct, competence, and care in every client interaction.

Data-Driven

Decisions are informed by rigorous analysis, not intuition alone. We let evidence guide capital allocation.

Humility

We acknowledge what we do not know, size risks appropriately, and remain open to being wrong.

Accountability

We own our outcomes. When things go well, we share the credit. When they do not, we take responsibility.

The right portfolio begins with the right conversation.
